Exploring Collaborations to Enhance Senior Living Experiences

Woodrose Senior Residences had the honour to welcome Puan Afidah binti Dato’ Haji Arshad, Principal Assistant Secretary of the International Relations Division at the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development Malaysia along with Tuan Junaidi bin Ayob, Head Assistant Director of the Elderly Section at the Department of Social Welfare Malaysia, along with their esteemed teams.
Their visit provided a valuable opportunity to discuss the commitment providing exceptional senior living experiences and explore potential collaborations to enhance the well-being of the residents.
Woodrose Senior Residences is not a retirement home but a senior home with assissted living, especially for those with dementia, Alzheimer’s, and with immobility.
It is also run in accordance with Shariah principles. This adherence to Islamic principles ensures that residents and their families can have peace of mind knowing that their loved ones are receiving care in line with their religious beliefs.
P.S. One of our oldest residents is 93 years old, having retired in her 50s. Retirement can be a challenging transition—social circles may shrink, and isolation can set in. Engaging in daily activities with companions is vital, as silence can sometimes feel unsettling.
Prioritizing wellness as we age is equally crucial. Small, consistent efforts can go a long way in ensuring a healthier and more fulfilling life.
